The rides will be short at the beginning of the season ranging anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour; all at a slow, comfortable speed with stops along the way to see the sights and explore Northeast. Our goal is to have an enjoyable neighborhood ride, not a race to the finish line. All our rides will have multiple ride leaders to allow for splitting up the group as needed mi blog.
What will we be doing in the Adult Learn to Ride sessions?
Part of the time will be ‘classroom’ learning to cover basic traffic laws and tips on riding before we practice basic skills on the bike. The sessions will start off-street in parking lots and bike trails so riders can focus on the bike not traffic. We anticipate a mix of students: some who have never learned to ride and some who haven’t ridden in many years. The sessions will be tailored to the participants’ needs.
What if I don’t know how to ride a bike?
We will be offering Adult Learn to Ride sessions early in the summer so you can enjoy bicycling with us as we explore Northeast Minneapolis.
